Transformers: The Last Knight topped Wonder Woman for the top spot on both of NPD VideoScan’s national home video sales charts. One chart is solely dedicated to Blu-ray Disc sales, while the other includes sales for both Blu-rays and DVDs. Third place overall went to 47 Meters Down, while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had the third most Blu-ray sales. The Transformers 5-Movie Collection ended the week in the 14th spot in the overall chart. The results are from the week of Sept. 24  (The Last Knight hit store shelves on Sept. 26).

During that first week, 70% of the film’s sales came from Blu-rays, which was just a small step down from Wonder Woman‘s 73% during its first week.

As for home video rentals, The Last Knight debuted in the second spot behind Wonder Woman on Home Media Magazine’s rental chart. This is partly due to Wonder Woman not being available through Redbox during its first week on disc. The Last Knight, however, was released through Redbox during its first week. 47 Meters Down followed in third, while Captain Underpants and Baywatch rounded out the top five.

Via our friend site and sponsor TFSource we have our First Images of the impressive Takara Encore God Fire Convoy Reissue AKA RID Omega Prime.

This reissue was a nice surprise for RID/Car Robot collectors, and it gives you a new opportunity to grab two of the best toys of the line. While the new pics are not the best yet, it confirms the inclusion of the Super God Sword which was originally available with the exclusive ToysRus Japan 2-Pack of the same figures (but in clear plastic). We can also see some cartoon accurate details like Fire Convoy’s licence plate with “C-001” and what seems to be different colors for the sword. Some board users think some chrome parts have been removed but let’s wait for full clear pictures to confirm this.

UPDATE: Higher quality images and more extra pictures via Amazon.jp. It seems to confirm that the chrome chest on Fire Convoy and God Magnus front are not chromed but painted, and darker colors for God Magnus too.

After about a year, A Plus Toys have posted an update to weibo regarding their upcoming project, Master Order aka Transformers Animated Dirt Boss! At long last, the bossy little forklift can be seen in full color in both modes, and the images also confirm that Animated Devastator is on their to-do list.

Despite his size and accurately odd proportions, Master Order has a good deal of articulation and will be about 10cm (4 inches) tall. A Plus Toys also seem to have done Devastator justice by giving him a nice blend of Animated and G1 while maintaining a dominant influence from Animated, as evidenced by the various angles and large chin.

Master Order will be retailing for about $43 USD and is slated for release in early 2018. No pre-orders have gone up yet though, so stay tuned for that info!

Takara-Tomy Mall and Amazon Japan have both updated with official images of the Transformers Legends releases of Autobot Jumpstarter twins Topspin and Twin Twist, as well as the two pack of Seaspray and Lione. Each one has some differences in their decos compared to their Hasbro releases, best summarized as follows:

• Seaspray‘s eyes are painted differently, light blue on grey. He loses the white on his feet and his windows are now painted dark blue rather than black, and he also loses the tampos based on his stickers from his chest. The end result looks rather plain compared to the Hasbro one.
• Lione gets paint on his robot mode (Hasbro’s was completely unpainted here), and the arrangement of colors on the Headmaster mode are changed, so that Lione’s lion head and paws are now in yellow, but his face becomes the same orange as the rest of the helmet. It’s a toy accurate layout of colors, but the yellow used is not toy accurate.
• Topspin gets a different shade of blue plastic, and his visor is now blue where it was black. Some of the detail is now picked out differently (the shoulders, for example, have part of their detail done in blue and red where Hasbro filled the whole area with orange), and the Headmaster also has some extra paint. Otherwise it’s mostly changes to the details, the broad layouts of paint applications seem unchanged.
• Twin Twist, much like his brother, has darker blue plastic, and some changes to the details. His deco seems far less changed compared to the Hasbro one.

Both Twin Twist and Topspin leave out their Hasbro release’s silver guns, as they now come with Targetmasters! Peaceman (Peacemaker) comes with Topspin, and Twin Twist is partnered with Spoilsport.

You may recall previous mention in these very pages of Allspark Pictures. We now have more details about the studio’s leadership, as Variety reports on the appointment of its president.

Hasbro has hired seasoned veteran Greg Mooradian to oversee the company’s film division, Allspark Pictures, as it attempts to create a full-fledged movie studio. As president of Allspark, he will oversee film and television production starting in January. Sources say the company has been making an effort to raise money to start its own studio for some time, and is trying to attract funding in the nine-figure range in order to properly develop its own slate of films. The hope is to transform itself into an industry player to rival Marvel Studios.

This is not Hasbro’s first move into expanding the movie and television footprint of its properties, following the concluded talks about a Lionsgate takeover earlier this summer. More details are sure to be a part of Hasbro’s Third Quarter 2017 Earnings call in two weeks. Exactly a month ago, we received a news tip regarding a list of upcoming Transformers toys from the Toys”R”Us system. Since then, staff members of TFW2005 did some cybersleuthing to discover additional info. It just so happens that we recently stumbled upon two new Amazon entries (now taken down) for Transformers: Energon Igniters which were featured on the aforementioned list.

Thanks to 2005 Boards member Pacifistx we have some great news for Russian fans: Titans Return Trypticon Has Been Spotted In Russia.

The big Decepticon Dinobase was sighted at “Detskiy Mir” (Children’s World) store in the shopping center “Gallery” in Saint Petersburg. Trypticon will be expensive though, since it is priced 13 999 Rubles which is about 240 US Dollars.

Krok and Topspin, two of the five new releases in this assortment, were found on shelves in Karstadt inside the Rhein-Ruhr-Zentrum shopping mall in Mülheim an der Ruhr by knowledgeable TFW2005 member Nevermore. This assortment also brings Kup, Quake, and Perceptor into the fold – and while they were not sighted, they might surely be out in the German wild too?

The action on First Strike the new multi-crossover on the Hasbro comic universe continue with this one shot tie-in issue. It seems that the destiny of Cybertron is on the edge one more time.
