This cover is another great piece of work of artist Kei Zama. Soundwave standing with his partners Buzzsaw, Laserbeak and Ravage ready to attack. The Primes return to Cybertron and they are definitively not good news for anyone on the planet.

Additionally, we have a clear and proper image of the amazing Cover B by Casey Koller. We had seen this cover before with the IDW February 2018 solicitations.

Artist Jeffrey Veregge brings us a very nice and colorful cover for this issue featuring good old Ironhide next to Spectral Knight Galadria who is showing off her magic in the form of gracious dolphins. The story on this issue does not bring good news for Leoric while Cybertron is still in danger.

IDW have released their solicits for April 2018, which includes some great new Transformers comics. These include the conclusion of Transformers VS Visionaries, Transformers Lost Light 17, and Optimus Prime 18. It sounds as though April’s comics will bring several turning points in the Transformers story, with Optimus Prime 18 sounding as though it will delve once again into Cybertron’s early history, while Lost Light 17 is set to continue the “Everlasting Voices” trilogy, and promises “and ending you’ve got to see to believe”.

IDW are also advance soliciting Til All Are One Volume 3, which is set to collect issues 9 – 12 of the series as well as the annual which caps off many of the series’ ongoing plots and provides a fitting conclusion for the story of Starscream which began back in the pages of Robots in Disguise in 2013.

Over the past few months, we’ve heard of Toys R Us’s slow decline due to its Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. More recently, they’ve announced the closure of approximately 182 stores across the U.S. as a means of reinventing their brand. USA Today has put together a list of all the stores that will be closing over the next few months. Going out of business sales will begin in February and end in April, giving us plenty of time to do any catching up on exclusives and get some deals before our local toy sources vanish. In addition to Toys R Us stores closing, there will be a number of Babies R Us locations joining them, so be sure to double check which is which.

 Takara will bring us the Autobot clones Fastlane and Cloudraker in a 2-pack. An easier way to add it to your collections. Blitzwing comes in cartoon accurate colors and includes a redeco of Titans Return Shuffler called Bigfight Partner Drone. The highly expected Overlord is coming in Masterforce anime colors, and with some remolds to make it cartoon accurate. More noticeable are the 2 Headmasters included: Mega and Giga which each become a different face.

The book titled “Titans Of Metal” has got several activities and games illustrated with the Evergreen desings. It was spotted at stores in Buenos Aires, Argentina for 69.90 Argentinian Pesos (3.6 US Dollars) approximately. The book is printed by Vertice Editorial whose products are also found in Chile and Uruguay, so we could expect to see this book in those countries too.

London Toy Fair 2018 concluded yesterday with thousands of trade visitors visiting 270+ number of stalls.

A news which came to us across the pond piqued our curiosity. Naturally, the staff members at TFW2005 looked into this new development. Based on what we heard, several Transformers: Robots In Disguise merchandise such as die-cast vehicles, RC cars and other stuff are getting reissued this year, but with what manufacturers and retailers call as “Transformers: Evergreen Branding“. New packaging artwork (including the backgrounds) has replaced the usual RID characters with Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Starscream in various poses. However, the actual content remains the same.

Of course this transition isn’t just for Robots In Disguise. It seems as though more toys and merchandise are planned to come out as Transformers: Evergreen. Which brings us to an interesting speculation. With several budget market items by Hasbro appearing on shelves, there is a good possibility that there will be more Transformers: Evergreen toys with greater articulation and detailing for the regular market. Is this what will eventually replace Power Of The Primes? We don’t really think so, but it certainly is a curious topic to keep an eye on.

More Evergreen based gadgets, greeting cards, gift items, stationary are set to appear at this year’s Spring Fair UK, as well. We are actually hoping to hear more at New York Toy Fair 2018. Tune into TFW2005 for the best coverage around.

Via Loopaza Mega Store in Facebook we have scans of the included mini-manga and bio card of Takara LG-60 Overlord.

The included manga brings us a fun story where the Ginrai and the Godmasters Jr go to a restaurant which is in fact, Overlord base mode. Mega and Giga reveal themselves and the fight begins. A great surprise is that we see 2 Overlords at the same time: Overlord Giga and Overlord Mega. As if it would not be enough, they combine into a bigger bot. Thanks to Planet Iacon – Singapore Transformers Fans Unite!! (S.T.F.U!!) we can see that the combination is possible if you get 2 Overlords.

As noticed by our forum members, the last 2 pages of this manga show a redeco of God Ginrai in his Fire Guts color scheme. Will we see it as a figure in the future? Place your bets, but right now it’s only pure speculation.

3P Mech Planet has shared images of their Hot Soldier HS-13 (G1 Goldbug).

The images surfaced via Mech Planet Weibo account and we can see that this take on G1 Goldbug is a repaint of their previous Mech Planet Hot Soldiers HS-09 (G1 Bumblebee) with a new head. This Legends scale G1 styled Goldbug will include some nice extras like 2 guns, an extra Bumblebee head, a tiny transforming Ravage and the famous Autobot scout satellite: Sky Spy.

Via Weibo user 爆料人小明 we have our first in-hand images of Masterpiece MPM-05 Barricade for your viewing pleasure.

It seems the Masterpiece version of popular Decepticon bad cop is out in Taiwan and some lucky fans could grab it. The images let us see the great work on the body proportions of this Masterpiece and some good poses. There is also a picture in alt mode which looks well integrated and solid. It should be a matter of time for Barricade to be available in other countries and online retailers.

• Orion Pax: Orion Pax was once just a humble bot on Cybertron who believed in building a better world. The legendary artifact the Matrix of Leadership chose him to lead the Autobots, and he became the greatest hero the universe has ever known: Optimus Prime.
  
• Optimus Prime: Optimus Prime is the noble leader of the Autobots. He believes that freedom is the right of all sentient beings and fights tirelessly to defend it. He is beloved across the universe for his compassionate nature, steadfast leadership, and heroic feats in battle.
  
• Optimus Primal: The loyal Optimus Primal is the leader of the heroic beast faction, the Maximals. He was once a research-vessel captain. He rose to greatness when he was thrust into a battle he had no choice but to win to save the universe from a terrible fate. Despite his legendary standing, he shows his freewheeling side through his motto: “sometimes crazy works.”

• Starscream: The scheming Decepticon air commander plots to take control of the universe any way he can. He’s willing to do anything, no matter how treacherous to defeat anyone in his way.
  
• Dreadwind: Dreadwind spreads gloom everywhere he goes. The evil Decepticon air defender lives to strike fear in the sparks of others, and the dark shadow of doom he casts lingers long after the battle is over.
  
• Grimlock: The strength of the Dinobot leader Grimlock is legendary. His prowess in battle is unrivaled. He respects strength beyond all else, but he doesn’t like bullies. It’s this that fuels his dedication to fight against those who would use their power for evil.
  
• Dinobot Slash: Slash is an elite tracker who can find, catch, and, if needed, eliminate any enemy target. She’s fast and undetectable, and her razor-sharp claws can get her out of any situation.
  
• Slug: Slug is a hotheaded Dinobot brawler who never met a fight he didn’t like, or an opponent he didn’t think he could defeat. His enemies usually wind up as pools of liquid metal.
  
• Sludge: Sludge isn’t the smartest bot on the battlefield. Most of his targets end up crushed beneath his thundering feet, sometimes completely by accident. What the big, lumbering warrior lacks in intelligence he makes up for with his incredible strength.
  
• Swoop: Swoop is the friendliest Dinobot, unless you encounter him in battle. The bombardier’s menacing form and ability to appear from seemingly out of nowhere make him a fearsome warrior.

Nick Roche made his professional debut in the Transformers world with IDW, after famously saying he’d have worked for free at Dreamwave (harsher in hindsight). Providing the artwork for Spotlight: Shockwave and the art as well as the script for Spotlight: Kup, it was working alongside James Roberts on Last Stand of the Wreckers that really established Nick Roche as a fan-favorite writer and artist. As well as working on the follow-up storyline, Sins of the Wreckers, Nick has gone on to do lots of good work for Marvel, including on Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows.

Nick will be at TFNation 2018 over the full weekend to meet guests, sign autographs, and sell artwork.

TFNation 2018 will be taking place over the weekend of 17-19 August 2018, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in England. Nick Roche will be joined by his Last Stand of the Wreckers co-author James Roberts, artist Jack Lawrence, musician Stan Bush and voice actor D.C. Nuremberg Toy Fair 2018 (also known as German Toy Fair or Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse) is the next major Toy Fair on the list following Hong Kong Toy Fair and London Toy Fair and the last major toy fair before the famous New York Toy Fair 2018. Sadly, photography is strictly forbidden across the entire show floor (special note regarding the matter can be found below). However, if you are visiting the fair, we have a helpful guide for you to follow to see which stalls feature Transformers Toys and Merchandise.

Hasbro (Hall 12.0 – Stand F-10 to H-05)

Featuring one of the biggest stalls at Nuremberg Toy Fair, Hasbro will be presenting their 2018 line up of Transformers figures including Bumblebee: The Movie, Generations and more. They will also debut several new Nerf and My Little Pony toys at the fair, along with new Board Games for the year. These toys will later be showcased at the New York Toy Fair 2018.

Simba-Dickie (Hall 6 – Stand B-02)

Simba Dickie is confirmed to showcase die-cast vehicles, RC cars based on Bumblebee: The Movie as well as their reissue of Transformers: Robots In Disguise licensed die-cast vehicles and RC vehicles with a brand new Transformers Evergreen packaging.

Hauck (Hall 12.2 – Stand P19)

Hauck will return to the fair this year and will bring in their Go-Karts based on Transformers Evergreen designs. The same vehicles were featured during last year’s fair as well.

Stor S.L. (Hall 6 – Stand A-19)

The company will be showcasing Transformers licensed lifestyle products including baby and infant items such as bibs, sippycups, plates and spoons.

Invento Products & Services GmbH (Hall 6 – Stand C-29)

Most famous for their HexBug toyline, this company has expanded their Transformers License portfolio with new construction kits featuring several famous robots including Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron and Soundwave. Their lineup of model construction kits will be on display at Nuremberg Toy Fair 2018.

The Cookie Company BV (Hall 12.0 – Stand I-21)

Transformers licensed t-shits, caps, swimwear, underwear, jewelry, towels… you name it, they have it. The Cookie Company is one of the highly-dedicated license holders for the brand. Their latest line up of items will be showcased at this year’s toy fair.

Sun City (Hall Entrance – Stand E-10 to F-06)

Another Transformers apparel and accessory manufacturer. The company will not just cater to kids but will do so for adults as well.  Their latest line up will be features at the entrance of Nuremberg Toy Fair.

Undercover GmbH (Hall 4 – Stand C-04)

Undercover GmbH is a Hasbro license holder manufacturing School Supplies. Their portfolio of Transformers products include school bags (under the brand name Scooli), water bottles, lunchboxes, pencil cases, stickers, pencils, pens and notebooks.

Montichelvo Industrial SA (Hall 4 – Stand C-15)

This company manufactures Transformers licensed school bags, pencil cases and notebooks for adults. They will also showcase their 2018 offerings at this year’s fair.

Diseños textiles del Mediterráneo (Hall 3A – Stand C-17)

A manufacturer of Transformers licensed Baby and Infant products including clothing, pajamas and underwear.

3P Mech Planet has shared images of their Hot Soldier HS-15 (G1 Cliffjumper).

The images surfaced via Hot Soldiers Weibo account. This take on G1 Cliffjumper is a remold of their previous Mech Planet Hot Soldiers HS-09 (G1 Bumblebee) with a new head, in a similar way from what they did with their Mech Planet’s Hot Soldier HS-13 Goldbug. This Legends scale G1 styled Cliffjumper will include the iconic cannon that Cliffjumper used in the G1 cartoon.

And following our earlier of the first in-hand images of the highly expected MPM-05 Barricade, now we get a new extra set of better and clearer images of the newest Movie Masterpiece figure.

The new images were shared by Kevin’s Transformers Library on Facebook and the gallery brings us very clear shots of the figure. As we can see, the proportions, weapons and details for Barricade are excellent and movie-accurate in both modes. We also have shots next to other figures like Human Alliance Barricade (another fan-favorite mold of the character) and the rest of the Masterpiece Movie line: Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.
