Via TF-Factory on Weibo, we have a look at the in-box images for Movie Masterpiece Ironhide. The box does not show a tremendous amount that we have not seen previously – the reverse calls out features such as a moveable faceplate, poseable hands, and a poseable neck which were all showcased in previous official releases. The one significant departure revealed here is that unlike Bumblebee, Barricade, and Optimus Prime, the movie Masterpiece Ironhide will be coming in a tall, portrait oriented box. TFNation have announced the next guest attending TFNation 2018. Joining the guest lineup is Mr Jack Lawrence!

Like James Roberts, Jack Lawrence started his journey in Transformers as a part of the Transmasters UK community, breaking into professional comic artwork along the way to become the regular artist on the ongoing IDW comic Transformers: Lost Light. Along the way he was worked on a number of other properties including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Doctor Who, Sinister Dexter, Skylanders and Jackie Chan. Does that make him the third Transformers / Doctor Who crossover (following after Death’s Head and Octus)? We’d like to say yes.

Jack will be at TFNation 2018 over the full weekend to meet guests, sign autographs, and sell artwork.

TFNation 2018 will be taking place over the weekend of 17-19 August 2018, at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole in Birmingham in England. Jack Lawrence will be joined by the writer of Lost Light, James Roberts, musician Stan Bush and voice actor D.C. Hong Kong Toy Fair is done and dusted. Next in the line is London Toy Fair 2018, which will start on 23rd January and will continue until 25th at Olympia, Kensington.

The show is mostly targeted towards industry professionals with little participation from general public (only for a selected set of individuals and press). Previously, we brought you the happy news of Hasbro attending UK Toy Fair after 2 years of absence. Hasbro booth will be kept behind closed doors, but we usually do hear something from other Transformers license holders. The titan returns (pun intended) to the toy fair after 2 years of declining their participation invitation. Hasbro will be showcasing their brand portfolio including Transformers. It was also stated that Hasbro will be looking forward to work more closely with independent retails in UK and even to differentiate its ranges for individual retail channels. Information we received indicated that promotional material for Bumblebee: The Movie will also be displayed.

Simba Smoby Toys – Stand: E135

Simba Smoby Toys is the UK branch of Simba Group which will be showcasing licensed diecast and RC vehicles from the upcoming Bumblebee movie. You can read more about the toys which will be on display, via our previous news post.

A. B. Gee Of Ripley – Stand: B40

This retail company is a huge supporter of Hasbro brands and is set to showcase what Hasbro has to offer. According to their official statement which we received, the company is planning to display the current offerings and upcoming toys as well.

Dracco is a UK based wholesaler who will be showcasing upcoming Hasbro products including Transformers.

Sambro – Stand: Gallery 400

Sambro is one of the longest Transformers license holders in UK. The company did not specify which products will be featured this year. Exactly two months ago, the company extended their partnership with Hasbro. Based on what was on display for the past years, we are sure to see licensed Transformers stationary and school supplies.

MV Sports & Leisure Ltd – Stand: B30

MV Sports is a manufacturer of Hasbro licensed Transformers outdoor equipment. Items such as bikes, trikes, scooters, skates, helmets and safety equipment are listed on their portfolio.

Transformers: The Last Knight has been nominated as the Worst Picture of 2017 at the 38th Golden Raspberry Awards (a.k.a. Razzies for short).

Sadly, it has become sort of a tradition for a Transformers Live Action Movie to be selected for the category since Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen (which won the infamous award that year). The only movie which did not made it to the list was the first Bayverse Transformers Movie, despite the fact that Jon Voight was nominated as the Worst Supporting Actor at the 2008 edition of the awards ceremony.

Thankfully, The Emoji Movie is on this year’s list along with The Mummy, Fifty Shades Darker and Baywatch which would considerably slim the chance of “winning”.

In addition to being nominated for the Worst Picture, the movie has been nominated for Poisonous Performance by an Actor (Mark Wahlberg), Worst Supporting Actor (Josh Duhamel, Sir Anthony Hopkins), Worst Supporting Actress (Laura Haddock), Worst Sequel, Worst Director (Michael Bay), Worst Screen Combo (Any Combination of Two Humans, Two Robots, or Two Explosions) and The Worst Screenplay.

Looks like trouble’s brewing in paradise. The latest development at Paramount suggests that Hasbro Cinematic Universe will ramp down by omitting M.A.S.K. and ROM: The Space Knight movies from the proposed series.

“Those are probably not likely to see the light of day, unless they’re moving on separate from us,” said Jonathan Goldstein. “It’s a funny thing. We spent three weeks in a room with a lot of talented writers. We broke 11 or so movies and, I don’t know. It just kind of went into the vortex. There’s been some leadership changes at Paramount, so it’s hard to say. Nobody’s contacted us about those.”

However, G.I. Joe and Micronauts movies will go ahead as planned. Rather than take place in the same continuity as the previous two G.I. Joe movies, the new entry will be a reboot that hits theaters on March 27, 2020. As for Micronauts, it will be released on October 16, 2020.

Despite whatever that is happening in the background, the upcoming Live Action Transformers Movies are not affected. Bumblebee: The Movie will see its December 2018 release and Transformers 6; the next official Transformers film is planned for summer 2019 and is currently undergoing a director search. Nothing else is known about this next installment right now other than the fact that it will probably stand as the direct sequel to The Last Knight. An Animated Prequel Origin Story is also in development by Hasbro owned Boulder Media Limited with an unspecified release date.

Speaking ahead of UK Toy Fair 2018 tomorrow, Hasbro Vice President Stephen Davis stated “Looking to 2018, we are excited to build upon the success of Transformers Franchise with Bumblebee, focusing on one of the most beloved characters in the Transformers Universe. We are extremely excited for the Bumblebee film as we continue to expand the Transformers Universe, and we expect our fans will be as well. The toyline is the original inspiration, and while the toy sales don’t directly dictate the stories we develop, Bumblebee is one of our most popular characters.”

The nominees for the 65th annual Golden Reel Awards, which honor sound artists and their contributions to the past year’s most outstanding feature film, TV, animation and computer entertainment productions, have included The Last Knight in the following category:

We’ve got word of two lots of new toy sightings at UK retail today!

The big news is that Power of the Primes Legends Wave 2 has made its western debut in the UK – with much of Wave 1 yet to hit retail in the UK. Legends Wave 2 is something for fans to get excited about – there’s a new Legends class Tailgate in there, a retool of the new Windcharger from Wave 1, along with two new characters, Battleslash and Roadtrap. The latter two are a combiner – pick them both up, and you get an almost Deluxe sized, Classics / Generations version of the Duocon, Battletrap – except unlike his 1987 original, he’s now got individual robot modes. All three were spotted in the Burton Toy Planet by TFW2005 members returner and Shockscream!

That’s not all though – Wave 1 of the Prime Masters have also hit UK retail. Wave 1 has neat updates of Pretenders Metalhawk, Skullgrin, and Cloudburst – with the Prime Master figures Vector Prime, Liege Maximo, and Micronus. These are also showing up in Toy Planet stores, this time in Derby, as well as Burton.

Fan-Favorite artist Alex Milne has shared something really great for us today. The 5-page preview line art of Lost Light #13 and the New Designs For Red Alert And Cerebros for this issue.

All images were shared via Alex Milne’s Twitter account and we are sure you will pleased to have a look at his amazing work. We had previously seen Lost Light #13 Full Preview a few days ago, and Alex now shares the detailed and no-text line art for this pages. We can read on his Tweet:  “I had the most fun with this first section of the book. Lots of fun stuff to draw along with awesome looking bird bot :D”

As a great extra bonus, we also get the new designs for Red Alert and Cerebros (pencils and color) and Alex also tweeted some nice comments about them:

“Red Alert from Lost Light 13. Red has always been a bot I’ve wanted to upgrade after he went with Fort Max at the end of MTMTE season 1. Well I decided to go for it with this issue. To me this is I’m tired of others messing with the back on my neck look :p”.

Hasbro owned Boulder Media Limited is looking for talent across Europe for their upcoming Transformers Animated Feature Film set in the Live Action Movie Universe.

Written by  Ant-Man and the Wasp screenwriters Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari, the story takes place in Cybertron, prior to the events of the first movie. This new movie is a joint production effort by Paramount Pictures (a Viacom company) and Allspark Pictures (a Hasbro company).

Boulder Media has this to say:

We had previously reported a cover for this TPB with IDW January 2018 solicitations, but now a new cover is shown in IDW Website and Amazon.com. The cover by artist Priscilla Tramontano features Optimus Prime flanked by Pyra Magna and Jetfire. As 2005 Boards member Jalaguy points out, this art was orinally the retailer incentive cover of Optimus Prime #7.

Thanks to 2005 Boards member Cheem The Rup for sharing our first image of MAAS Toys Renegade (Tetra Jet Cybertronian Starscream) Prototype.

The image surfaced via MAAS Toys Twitter and Facebook accounts. We can see the torso of this take on G1 Starscream who transforms into a Cybertronian fighter similar to the Tetra Jets we saw on the classic G1 Cartoon. The figure is expected to be 20 cm tall and the respective repaints as Thundercracker and Skywarp have also been announced before.
