Wrapping up reveals from this weekends Botfest toy show in Singapore, we have a few extra 3rd party announcements to share with you. First up from Maketoys Remaster series is the announcement of their Masterpiece inspired Conehead figures. From the pictures, we see a prototype of their version of Ramjet. Their versions of Thrust and Dirge are shown in development in panel slides as well.

From Mastermind Creations, we get a look at two new figures from their Reformatted series via a photoshopped pic of seven of the figures standing together. These two figures are inspired by Tesarus and Nickel from the More Than Meets The Eye comic series and are members of the DJD. These two figures will complete the lineup for that group of fan favorite characters.

Today we are going to take a look at another Extreme Sets display diorama – the Display Pack 002.  The display packs are cut specifically to work with Ikea Deltof display cases, giving you a wall and floor for all 4 shelves. You don’t have to use them like that, they can be used on their own for photography or just out on non Deltof shelves as backdrops.  Pack 002 is based on their Control Center artwork, which has an Autobot Ark theme to it with the orange panels and computer monitors.  We’ve done up a round of pics to show off what it can do in a basic setup for display and fancy lighting situation for photography.  You can check it out here in our Reflector@TFW2005 gallery system:

Hasbro held their Third Quarter 2017 Earnings Conference Call this morning to investors, journalists and other interested parties.

Speaking to the audience, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner stated “Transformers multi-screen entertainment continued to drive revenue growth in the franchise. Point of sale is up versus last year and up versus the last movie year. This fall we continue with new entertainment initiatives to engage our fans. The global home entertainment release of Transformers: The Last Knight took 6th place on September 28th and all-new episodes of Robots In Disguise and Rescue Bots are running on linear and streamed services. In addition, in partnership with Machinima, in November we are debuting the second chapter of the critically acclaimed Digital Animated series Prime Wars Trilogy…Titans Return.

Royalty expense decreased 20 basis points to 7.8% of revenue, on the small decline in Partner Brand revenues partially offset by the continued 14 growth from Transformers: The Last Knight movie product, which carries some external royalties.”

Mr. Goldner did not forget to add a comment regarding TRU bankruptcy filing:
“Our commercial and finance teams are effectively managing the short-term disruption from the Toys“R”Us restructuring and bankruptcy filing in the U.S. and Canada, as well as ongoing softness in the UK and Brazil.”

Hasbro CFO Deb Thomas also stated “As Brian mentioned, the Toys“R”Us bankruptcy filing in the U.S. and Canada negatively impacted our third quarter revenue and operating profit, including incremental bad debt expense associated with the bankruptcy. Excluding the incremental expense, total company operating profit would have been approximately 100 basis points higher in the quarter. While this event has also negatively impacted our initial growth outlook for the fourth quarter, we continue to work closely with Toys“R”Us to be able to deliver the right products to consumers for a successful holiday season”

For the third quarter, Hasbro’s Franchise Brand revenues increased 7%, with growth in NERF, TRANSFORMERS, MY LITTLE PONY and MONOPOLY. Hasbro Gaming increased 22% and Emerging Brands were up 9%.”\

Thanks to the Planet Iacon Singapore Transformers Facebook page, we have word of a reissue for the Battle Command Optimus Prime figure. Originally released in 2014 as LA-01 Optimus Prime Battle Command, this figure features a trailer that can convert into a jetpack attachment while in robot mode, as well as a battle station of sorts for other Autobot figures. Right now we only have initial information, which contains a release date of April 2018 and for 6,800 yen (roughly $60 USD). Stay tuned for more information here. Machinima’s second Transformers series, Titans Return, will launch November 14th. With that date quickly upon us we can expect to see more promotional images hyping the project. Today we get a very cool look at one of the more anticipated characters of the series: Emissary! Shared on Machinima’s Facebook page, we see Emissary piloting Windblade from what looks to be an escape from the massive Decepticon Trypticon.

Two things to note here: the animators creatively included the screw head from the Titans Return toy into the animation design. Secondly, Emissary is portrayed green in this image, which might be a clever nod to Jason David Frank (the original green Power Ranger and voice actor of Emissary). We have to assume the cockpit coloring / lighting is creating a green look as we know Emissary is not green in his Titans Return toy form.

New contenders are always coming up to the scene of third party toys, and Unique Toys has posted prototype images on their Weibo page of their newest contender titled UT R-02 Challenger, a homage to Optimus Prime as portrayed in the Transformers Live Action Film Age of Extinction and The Last Knight. Images of the grey prototype shows of a figure that transform from the Western Star 5700EX truck mode to a fairly model accurate robot mode. The figure appears to come with Optimus’ shield and Temenos Sword that can be pegged on the back in robot mode.

Unique Toys mentioned in their post that the figure will come with a diecast part that can be put in the figure’s chest, although they did not specify what that part is modeled after. More information will be revealed in an expo in Shanghai on the 28th according them, so stay tuned for latest update on this project. Until then, check out the prototype photos after the break.

A nice sighting for all Mexican collectors. Thanks to Grupo Internacional De Fans De Transformers ans Transformers Mexico Facebook groups for reporting that Transformers: The Last Knight Autobots Unite Deluxe Hot Rod Spotted In Mexican Retail.

Hot Rod was found in good quantities at Aurrera store in Tlaxcala, Mexico for 419 Pesos (22 Dollars approximately). Mama Lucha stores are also selling Hot Rod for the same price. The figure comes in the “Autobots Unite” packaging.

TLK Mission to Cybertron Deluxe Skullitron and Megatron (each for 29.99 Euros or 35.26 Dollars), plus RID Legion Twinferno (for 15.99 Euros or 18.80 Dollars) were spotted at the Toys”R”Us store in Duisburg-Meiderich. As an extra bonus, the re-release of  Legion Sideswipe was found at Müller store in Hilden.

Thanks to 2005 Boards member lord ginrai for sharing our first image of Takara Masterpiece Dinobot Prototype Image in our forums.

After several months, we finally have a close look at the actual prototype of the popular Beast Wars Maximal warrior. So far we had reported the first prototype of the figure which was shown on screen at Tokio Toy Show and the CGI renders from Tokyo Toy Show Booklet.

The image from Figure Oh! Magazine with a text: “Announcement next issue! -“Dah! I have become bigger and returned!” shows the upper body of Dinobot beast mode showing a nice amount of articulations and sculpted skin. As usual with previous Beast Wars Masterpieces it really captures what we watched on the series.

Masterpiece Dinobot is the highly expected third character on the Beast Wars Masterpiece line after Optimus Primal and Cheetor. We are sure that we will be getting more information and details of MP Dinobot in the next weeks so stay tuned for our reports.

This is the issue where we got our first image of MP Dinobot Prototype we informed previously, but this was part of another great set of images for upcoming releases by Takara in Japan. We have a good view at Encore God Fire Convoy and his components: Fire Convoy and God Magnus. This re-issue will come with new phrases and sound clips, and we have a picture of Takashi Matsuyama. the original voice actor of God Magnus on his recording session of new audio clips and phrases for the reissue, he’s even holding the original toy.  On the Legends side, we have images of LG-EX Grand Maximus and Greatshot, and the new wave of Deluxe Legends with Seaspray, Top Spin and Twin Twist showcasing some extra deco and their Targetmaster partners. The Last Knight RC Sqweeks is also shown. As an extra bonus, we have a look at Prime 1 Studio Beast Wars Megatron Statue and the next release of the new Diaclone line: DA-17 Big Powered GV.

According to this tweet there was a secret URL to listen to some of the new voice clips that God Magnus’ voice actor Takashi Matsuyama recorded for this Encore release. Reports have been trickling in over the last few days of Robots In Disguise Twinferno hitting US store shelves. A majority of the sightings have been found at Toys R Us and come from Colorado, New York, Virginia and Tennessee. At first, this leads us to believe that Wave 3 Combiner Force Warriors have been released but that may not be the case. The wave mates of Thermidor and Bludgeon are not being found yet. What is most likely happening is this wave of figures is currently shipping out which is mostly rereleases of older figures and a single Twinferno in each case.

So, keep your eye out for Twinferno if you collect the RID line and we’ll report future sightings as Bludgeon and Thermidor hit shelves eventually.
